TATTOOED MILLIONAIRE Tattooed Millionaire is a hard rock album released in 1990 by Bruce Dickinson. It is his first solo album. The album project began when Bruce was asked to record a song for the fifth Nightmare on Elm Street-movie, which became the song called Bring your Daughter...to the Slaughter. Collaborating with future Iron Maiden guitarist, Janick Gers, Bruce began to make a solo album which was fundamentally different from his works with Maiden, sounding much more rock-ish. "Bring your Daughter..." was not included in the original album but Maiden later recorded a different version that was included on their 1990 album No Prayer for the Dying which, ironically, became the band's only number-1 single to date. Song from 1982 by Kat Mandu. Real name is Jimmy Ray, a musician from Guyana in South Africa. He started his career in the local church and studied guitar. Soon he worked as opening act for international stars like Sam & Dace and Ben E. King. He performed across Europe, USA and The Caribbean and during one of these tours in England he met rock legend Dave Clark. They worked together for 2 years, but Jimmy wanted more and moved to New York in the late 70's. There he worked as guitarist for Odyssey during their concerts and landed one day in Canada, where he decided to stay in Montreal. He quickly became friends with Joe LaGreca who was very successfull then with Montreal Sound and it's lead singer Uchenna Ikejiana (Carol Jiani). One of the studio members was Denis LePage who had yet to form Lime with his wife Denyse. Mid '78 Jimmy, Joe & Denis decided to work together, which resulted in an instrumental song LePage had written, called "The Break". All three played the instruments and became a huge hit after T.K. Records licensed it and had it remixed by Steve Thompson and Michael Arato. The follow-ups "Don't stop, keep on" and "New world break" were not so successfull, but in 1981 he had a gold record again with this song. It was his final hit and for about 2 decades he didn't record any song. He now lives in Florida and his very successfull in the Miami and Key Largo areas, where he performs mostly in hotels and even released a new CD-single called "Come back again". There was never made any clip for "I wanna dance", so I made one myself....
