Warning, there's spoilers and there was no editing (except to add promos and music). It clocks in at 88 minutes. I hope you enjoy it. - Don't forget, the serialized podiobook of my novel, LILITH'S LOVE, also drops today. I'm adding to this feed and I hope you'll take a listen. If you want to hear the rest of the story, please subscribe and you'll get a new chapter every other week. // SITE NEWS * Our blog was hacked Oct. 27th by notorious hacker Kilroy2.0. In order to appease him, you should head to your local bookstore, Amazon, or favorite source, and pick up a copy of J.C. Hutchins' 7TH SON: DESCENT, and maybe PERSONAL EFFECTS: Dark Art, just to be safe. // NEWS * SPIKE's SCREAM Awards 2009 aired Oct. 27 at 10PM Best Fantasy Movie: Twilight Best TV Show: "True Blood" Best Horror Actor Male: Stephen Moyer - "True Blood" Best Horror Actor Female: Anna Paquin - "True Blood" Best Actor in a Fantasy Movie or TV Show: Robert Pattinson - "Twilight" Best Actress in a Fantasy Movie or TV Show: Kristen Stewart - "Twilight" Break-out Performance Male: Taylor Lautner - "Twilight" Best Villian: Alexander Skarsgård -- "True Blood" Best Foreign Film: Let The Right One In Scream Mastermind Lifetime Achievement Award: George A. Romero Comic-Con Icon Lifetime Achievement Award: Stan Lee * The de-evilution of the vampire | Ocala.com - An excellent take on the modern trend to featuring romantic and heroic vampires versus the hideous monsters of old. * Philippa Ballantine's Erotica ala Carte: Loves to be Loved - She likens her October story to "Succubi In The City", and that would have been more than plenty. But there's vamps in the tale as well. Great stuff as always from Pip! -- I'd like to add that I love reading short stories which tell a full tale but that beg to have the story continued. This is one of those tales, as are many of Pip's EalC stories. * Stephen King and Scott Snyder give 'Vampire' an evolutionary twist | USA Today - New comic series "American Vampire" (DC Comics) hits stores March 2010. Created by Scott Snyder, Rafael Albuquerque, and Stephen King * Angel Between The Lines: By THe Grace Of Ghosts Halloween Episode is live. - This is the episode where I voiced the character "Orlock". It is a fun episode to be sure! * CASTLE: Vampire Weekend - A man wearing fangs is found dead in a graveyard with a stake through his heart. It is up to Castle and Beckett to solve the mystery. - Plus, bonus for Firefly fans, the whole "space cowboy" Halloween costume thing is brilliant. "Didn't you wear that like five years ago? Don't you think it's time to move on?" // PROMOS * 7TH SON: DESCENT by J.C. Hutchins * Angel Between The Lines * Land of Caern: Tales of the Children podcast anthology by P.G. Michelle also gives it an 11. - We spent a VERY long time discussing the movie, it's sequel, the comics, and MANY tangents. But it's all awesome chatter. * The next movie in our Netflix queue is Blood: The Last Vampire (Anime/2000). // PROMOS * Metamor City Podcast by Chris Lester * Antithesis, Book Two: FREE WILL and Other Compulsions, a podcast novel by J. Daniel Sawyer. * Erotica a la Carte podcast by Philippa Ballantine // BUMPER * From Jack Hosley, host of the Wander Radio podcast. // IN THEATRES * Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant opened Oct. 23! - We spent a while chatting about this fine, fun film, and we do give spoilers about it. You have been warned! // FAREWELL * We wrapped the show by playing, "Cry Little Sister (CaveClub Video Mix)" by G TOM MAC (aka Gerard McMann). - Music provided by MusicAlley.com (formerly the Podshow Podsafe Music Network). * Our intro music is "24 FPS" by À Rebours, from their album Vanish, which can be found at iTunes among other places. You are treated to my Shameless Bit to promote the interview I did for the Shameless Plugcast. We discuss what the devistating tag team of the Hurricanes (Gustov and Ike) has done to make Astral Audio Experience Episode 6 that much later than intended and my upcoming move to Natchez Mississippi which might throw a monky wrench into the schedule. We next play songs by Amadeuss, Toby Emerson, and Declan Cole. Paul Fischer joins the cast of the Astral Audio Experience. (Does this mean we will become even more distracted with the ADDCast influence? Oh look, a shiny cursor!) Apollo Productions and Zircon are featured next. You are introduced to Jace Edwards who will be perminantly featured in Astral Audio Extra and Astral Audio Experience episodes. (We might get him to do some acting as well. You never know with the Self-Proclaimed Radio God .) Thanks to Ariel Publicity, G Tom Mac emerges from the shadows. (Still wondering how Cry Little Sister will be used in the major story plot?) And we close out the episode with a track from Difrent Proj(ect). All songs featured in this episode are curtacy of GarageBand.com. This has been an Astral Audio Production. Astral Audio Extra: Episode 7 This episode, we feature four tracks by G Tom Mac from his most recent album. He is the guy who wrote and performed Cry Little Sister from the 1987 vampire flick, Lost Boys. He has given Astral Audio Productions permission to use the lyrics of that song as a plot device in Astral Audio Experience. What do we have planned? I won t say. He might even help with the writing process so we do his song justice. You ll just have to stay tuned to find out what we have in store eh? Click the cover to visit his official website, and send him a note telling him that you came after hearing about him through us. Album Cover Script 6 of Astral Audio Experience: Episode 6 has been given to the cast. And as of this writing, we have several lines submitted. Auditions for several roles are up for grabs; most of them are recurring. You have three weeks to get them in. Send them to auditions(at)astralaudio.net. Here are the roles. Assassin: (male; adult.) Lines (stammering) I-I know. (hurriedly) Oh, it’s good. It’s good. I neutralized the target. I m exhausted. The show lasted longer than I thought it would. He kept talking and thanking people and .. (voice fading in) a perfect shot; he went down, and I left through the studio window. That s all she wrote. Yes. The man who calls himself the Astral Guardian is dead. The body? I didn t retrieve it. I m an assassin; not a morgue-dwelling coroner. (nervously)Well, I was given the location and layout of the radio station, plus Magnus Porter’s work schedule. Hitting him at his home would have been easier and safer, but your people didn’t have anything on that, or any routes he took to work. So the only place to take him was at the radio station and not just at the station, mind you, but in the studio itself. Oh yeah. Getting in there was tricky, but I managed it. Found a hiding place in the studio where no one could see me, not even the guy behind the mike. Waited for the early afternoon show, when the target would be there, he calls himself the Astral Guardian (snickers)The best time to strike was at the end of the show. You know, all went well, now everyone can rest easy while they switch to the network news. So he finishes finally and just when he’s about to sign off boom! One shot takes him in the back; one shot takes out the window behind me, and I’m out on a zip-line and away. Of course. That’s why you hired me. Besides, when doing this kind of work, you have to get to your target unseen, strike, then get out fast. What is (in agony)My arm!! You’ve The assassin screams, and we hear a savage tearing sound.(struggling through the pain)What is this? (terrified)I shot him! I saw him hit the floor! Don t don t kill (drawn out in pain)But Maaaster! Oh God! Oh God! God, please, no! Servant 1: (male.) Lines You are late. The Master doesn t like to be kept waiting. And you should know better than to bring weapons in past that door. Hand them over. (clears throat) (sarcastic) Thank you. Come. I presume you have a good report. (thinking) The expression on your face tells me otherwise. You are frightened; frightened of what the Master will do if you have failed. (incredulous) Oh really. Well, if you succeeded, then why the pale look on your face? (sighs) If you say so. Still, the master will not take your story at face value; I can guarantee that. He s hell-bent on this Astral Guardian business. (pauses) But if you have done your job, then you have no worries. He has arrived, Master. But Master (cackles) Yes, yes. Master? Servant 2: (male or female.) Lines Master? soldier 1: (male or female.) Lines (some distance away) Launcher ready! Target hit confirmed! Aye, sir. Soldier 2: (male or female.) Lines (even further away) Roger! Launcher ready! Target hit! Looks like it was dead center as we drew it up, Sir! Aye, sir. With the major stuff out of the way, there is more news. This Friday, August 8, 2008, marks the release of two books. Tee Morris, and Philippa Ballantine want you to buy them starting at 8:00 AM Pacific time on Amazon.
