You have entered the domain of the Greenhouse Effect and Clark Hagins. No, we're not talking about Global Warming or the depleting Ozone and a hole growing. We're talking about the biggest band on the internet. From countries near and far, they watch their G.e. indeed !! G.e. rules the web baby !! "We're very interesting" says Clark Hagins "We look normal,....theres no tattoos. People are in Shock...Plus the songs are good" Hagins continues "We're a musical revolution... We have the best music that there is anywhere on Earth, ...We have strong Songwriting,..and we have "Brandy" says Hagins. Brandy is ofcourse the song that has launched G.e. to international notoriety as it casually builds the web's biggest song video plays around, day in and day out making Hagins a known internet web fixture along with funny looking red haired bassist Rick Carmody and other kooky characters in the band such as one time drummer, Denmark's Palle Karlson. And Top Radio Airplay at Jango and Pandora FM cement G.e. as a cyberspace Door nail one cannot deny. - "We're hillarious to look at,..we bring back memories,..to people around the South Bay and beyond... , we are THE connection to the past,..as a child, I was always obsessed with the 60's and the Beatles,....I always wanted to go back in time,..where I could go to a Yardbirds show" says Hagins. A band that was formed in 1985 by G.e. axeman guitarist Phil Keegan (Dr. Phil) has become a source of debate among fans around the world as well as today with band members of G.e. themselves... "Me and Flipper have argued over who was doing "Grunge rock" first,..was it my demos from 1985 or was it G.e. from 1987 ??" (Laughs) says Hagins "Clearly, the world sees today now,..that it was G.e. - and not any band from Seattle - that was doing the flannel rock 'Grunge' stuff first,..plus sending their tapes too SST,...thats critical" says Hagins "Me and Ted wore Flannels because of the Minutemen and SST Records bands like that,..plus Ted's house was always extremely cold and messy,...Redondo Beach could be very cold at night in the wintertime,..we wore Flannels to mass at St. Lawrence Martyr church,..it was hip in 1988,..it was punk rock,..but when yer kinda a nerd or a loser,...thats just what you wore,..everybody in the South Bay wore them,...Rick Carmody practically perfected the flannel,..we didn't wanna look heavy metal,..our songs were sullen and sad,..we wanted (and succeeded) to form a whole new sound, look, and style,..we were originators,..and I informed ALL the major Labels as far back as 87','THEY' KNOW IT !!-...but nobody believed in it or took me or it seriously,.." says Hagins "When yer a stoner, alcoholic loser in the South Bay, you had a particular demeaner,..."Racers" and "Precarious" were our early statements,....we were inventors" "We're so watched and so popular,..it just tickles our egos" says Guitarist Phil Keegan "I never dreamed that THIS many people would know about my guitar" Clark Hagins began as drummer for the Jim Mellon Quartet in Torrance / Redondo Beach Calif. nearly 30 years ago, playing shows around Hermosa and Redondo beach at places like the Hermosa Saloon, Pier 52, and the Pitcher House as well as where-ever the bands could find a gig. "It was important" says Hagins "It helped me grow as a musician because the crowd was so close at the tiny Saloon,...it sometimes made audience participation almost mandatory,...people would come out of the crowd and join the band and play,.." "There were some great gigs there where I played with many bands,..that were historic,..so many were never filmed unfortunately,...those were great times,...those tight, close in crowds at the Saloon,...they readied me to get the confidence to rock the world on the web,..the applause I remember assures me that I could rock,..I was always in demand to either drum or play guitar with like 8 different bands,...its great memories,...it readied me to rock the world" Hagins laments today's depressingly bad rock scene of the FM radio that he sees as Tired and out of ideas where what few alternative radios are left are constantly still playing their same old plate of worn out Foo Fighters and Green Day and Marilyn Manson records from the 1990's. "Radio needs to move on and find bands that are into the Yardbirds and early Zeppelin,..the emo and Coldplay thing has grown super mega boring now,...today's MTV and Radio sucks,...they still play old Nirvana records over and over like as if they are still around,..either that or they blast endless repetitious Hip hop and rap that sucks,....these bands suck,...they are tired and old,...we badly need something new now" says Hagins " I just think that all these KROQ type radio stations suck - they all sound the same ,...very boring,....and people are sick of it now,...the ratings are way down,...they should be playing bands like G.e. - or atleast carve out a special hour for today's metal bands who don't get any airplay like Bullet, Airbourne, and Dragonforce and the Darkness,...the grunge thing has gotten old,...its time to give 80's metal it's chance and it's time again on American radio because on the internet - and THATS where all it really matters now ,..those metal bands rule now,..and they are popular,..they demand and need airplay in America,..we need real metal radio stations again,..and I don't mean bands like Slipnot,..I am talking about 'real' cheeseball metal here,..it has to have long hair and be cheesey,..thats why i started Supernetcelebrities.Com ,..I wanna help metal come back naturally" HAGINS says that radio stations KROQ, 91 X, and 94.9 do not play fair as they 'only' force feed alternative rock and EMO out there daily,..and not diversifying and playing other styles "Its a Liberal democrat thang" says Hagins "these stations know that they can turn guys into dumb wimps if they hear nothing but emo all day and they can turn chicks into dumb ass fickle slut consumers who are stupid,...its all about money and liberalism,..thats why i don't even listen to the radios that much,..they are all unfair and left-wing,..I spend most of my time listening to talk radio,..I listen to Mark levin and the Michael Savage show,...I just think that people who listen to Rap, Hip hop, and R & B are dumb asses,..they are shallow MTV people,...they suck,...they would never defend us" Greenhouse Effect feel that music should and must be more technical, Psychedelic, and demanding "We made great music that was sorta like 'prog rock',..bands like Rush ,.." says Hagins

6 Feet Under - Phil Keegan Guitar - Greenhouse Mixtape Songs

"Six Feet Under" from 1989 is One of the best known G.e. Songs ! Greenhouse Effect Mixtape Songs; This classic track is an all out politically motivated attack on the recording industry that was written, produced, and nearly entirely recorded by Guitarist Phil Keegan. The tight drumming and bass playing by Clark Hagins and Rick Carmody respectively adds a jazzy feel to this bluesy "Eric Clapton / Stevie Ray Vaughn" type little three minute jam. The angry pointful lyrics are a true, heartfelt rant - that has become the thing of indie rock legend by Keegan...
