Walt Disney had a lifelong love of trains, and railroad themes were often featured as key elements in his sketches and animated shorts. The traveling exhibit captures the history of Walt s love of trains with a nod to life on the railroad in the early 20th century and introduces visitors to rare animation sketches and cells, historic photography and some of Walt s personal train-related artifacts. The gallery tells the story of a simpler time when Mickey and friends traveled by rail and Walt himself was building one-of-a-kind miniature railroads in his backyard for friends and family. Including photographs of Walt riding the Lilly Belle and Mickey rushing to catch a train in an early animation sketch from Mr. Mouse Takes A Trip, this unique art collection is comprised of nearly two dozen pieces. Selected pieces from the gallery can be viewed at www.facebook.com/disneyliving. On October 21st, there was a private opening celebration with Mickey Mouse himself and local preschoolers at Travel Town Museum at Griffith Park, in Los Angeles, CA. Mickey unveiled the exhibit, and kids danced and play with Mickey, and with Disney s latest train toys, including Mickey s Magic Choo Choo from Disney and Fisher Price. A private viewing party showcased, for the first time, an upcoming train-themed primetime special, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Choo Choo Express, which aired on Disney Channel Oct. 25. Mickey s visit marked the end of the virtual train tour from Kansas City to Los Angeles. James Dean - Rebel ( filming location video )

Rebel Without a Cause is a 1955 film directed by Nicholas Ray that tells the story of a rebellious teenager played by James Dean, who comes to a town, meets a girl, disobeys his parents, and defies the local high school bullies. It was an attempt to portray the moral decay of American youth, critique parental style, and exploit the differences between generations. Griffith Observatory is located in Los Angeles, California, United States. Sitting on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood in L.A.'s Griffith Park. The observatory was featured in a number of scenes in the James Dean film Rebel Without a Cause; a bust of James Dean was subsequently placed at the west side of the grounds. James Byron Dean (February 8, 1931 September 30, 1955) was a two-time Oscar-nominated American film actor. Dean's status as a cultural icon is best embodied in the title of his most celebrated film, Rebel Without a Cause, in which he starred as troubled stereotypical high school rebel Jim Stark. The other two roles that defined his star power were as the awkward loner Cal Trask in East of Eden, and as the surly farmer Jett Rink in Giant. His enduring fame and popularity rests on only three films, his entire starring output. His death at a young age helped guarantee a legendary status. Dean quickly followed up his role in Eden with a starring role in Rebel Without a Cause, a film that would prove to be hugely popular among teenagers. The film is widely cited as an accurate representation of teenage angst. It co-starred teen actors Natalie Wood, Sal Mineo, and Dennis Hopper and was directed by Nicholas Ray. tags : Natalie Wood Sal Mineo Griffith Observatory Planetarium Park Los Angeles California Rebel Without Cause James Dean Natalie Wood Nicholas Ray visit the blog http://jamesdean-rebel.blogspot.com/
