Come Together, Right Now, over DMCA
from YouTube :: Videos by renetto July 23, 2008
This is a link the the EFF.org web site and some helpful questions and answers about "Fair Use". http://w2.eff.org/IP/eff_fair_use_faq.php Please keep watching and please get involved. Many of us will be telling you how to do that in a few days. Thank you so much... paul About EFF From the Internet to the iPod, technologies are transforming our society and empowering us as speakers, citizens, creators, and consumers. When our freedoms in the networked world come under attack, the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) is the first line of defense. EFF broke new ground when it was founded in 1990 — well before the Internet was on most people's radar — and continues to confront cutting-edge issues defending free speech, privacy, innovation, and consumer rights today. From the beginning, EFF has championed the public interest in every critical battle affecting digital rights. Blending the expertise of lawyers, policy analysts, activists, and technologists, EFF achieves significant victories on behalf of consumers and the general public. EFF fights for freedom primarily in the courts, bringing and defending lawsuits even when that means taking on the US government or large corporations. By mobilizing more than 50,000 concerned citizens through our Action Center, EFF beats back bad legislation. In addition to advising policymakers, EFF educates the press and public. EFF is a donor-funded nonprofit and depends on your support to continue successfully defending your digital rights. Litigation is particularly expensive; because two-thirds of our budget comes from individual donors, every contribution is critical to helping EFF fight —and win—more cases. Today: 0810 Doctor assessments 23 Jul 08
from Best of Today July 23, 2008
All doctors in the UK will face annual assessments which could see licences removed from poor performers. The proposals mean GPs, hospital consultants and private practitioners would have to renew their licences every five years, under proposals from the chief medical officer, Liam Donaldson. Patients organisations have welcomed the news, saying they have been waiting for such an initiative since the Shipman inquiry. Dr Hamish Meldrum, chairman of the BMA, explains how the scheme would work.

John Edwards and Rielle Hunter "The Alleged Mistress"
from YouTube :: Videos by zennie62 July 23, 2008
http://zennie2005.blogspot.com/2008/07/john-edwards-and-rielle-hunter-alleged.html -- This is a new story that is based on one I covered last fall. Former U.S. Senator John Edwards, who was also being considered for the VP slot next to Senator Barack Obama, was found at an LA hotel by two National Enquirer reporters as Edwards was visting new mom Rielle Hunter. Edwards tried to elude the reporters and according to the Enquirer he did call hotel security. But the overall damage was done. In this video I talk about Edwards committment to the poor and how that should be allowed to remain in our thoughts about Edwards as he faces this tough issue. What I call for is us to "circle the wagons" and wish Edwards and his wife the best as they go through what has to be a terrible period.
