From : popular posts - blip.tv (beta)
Pete Najarian hosts this morning financial audiocast. Hurricane Gustav was not as bad as expected over the weekend, which is pushing oil prices lower. As a result, stocks are buoyed in premarket trade. Google (GOOG) reportedly wants to compete with Microsoft (MSFT) and Mozilla with browsers. That also is helping Baidu.com (BIDU). Joy Global (JOYG) reports earnings on Wednesday. Financials will get a boost on talk of Korean interest.

 From : popular posts - blip.tv (beta)
Pete Najarian hosts this morning financial audiocast. Volatility is coming from the commodities market. Oil rallied on Thursday, helping the Dow. Coal stocks like Foundation Coal (FCL) and Massey (MEE) were upgraded. Freeport McMoran (FCX) also rose. Arcelor Mittal (MT) still seems to be on the hunt for buyouts. Lehman (LEH) continues to get downgrades but some analysts believe Lehman holds some valuable assets. Several international banks, including a Korean bank, reportedly have looked at Lehman. That is boosting Lehman this morning. Research in Motion (RIMM) and Google (GOOG) showed some strength on Thursday.
