During Macworld 2008 I stumbled upon the Shamus and The R Dreyf Posse feat. Richard Dreyfuss in the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus while they were putting together the final touches of "The Land Of The Lotus Eaters." These six San Francisco high school students collaborated with actor and civics student Richard Dreyfuss on this savage avant garde barrage of political awareness and social consciousness. After a short round-table discussion with Mr. Dreyfuss (aka R Dreyf), the students became inspired to create a piece that pushes the envelope regarding what it means to be American. Their vision; deconstructing the misconceptions of the American Dream and presenting something simple, something pure, as our forefathers had surely intended.
