Shot in the new "studio" this episode looks a "Armchair Caching". These are virtual caches that can be "found" from your computer with a bit of research, problem solving, and Photoshop skills. This episode I take a look at Shutterspot, a game played using photos and the GPS. Game players, using pictures, try to mark the spot where the pictures were taken. It's another fun thing to do with your GPS. Also, I have a quick peek at the new Garmin Colorado GPS receiver. The show is shorter then usual. I'm making a few changes to the show including shorter, but more frequent episodes. I hope you enjoy the new length. Another change is in file formats. I m now creating an Apple TV version that can be played on any computer, however is sized for the Apple TV. In this special edition of the Videozine, I look back at the first two years of the show. I feature several highlights including tutorials, plus scenic and historical caches. On Monday December 11th, 2006 Mr. Landsharkz and Lumbo-Tire were on CFAX 1070 Victoria BC, Canada, from 4-5pm talking about Geocaching with News Anchor Erick Thompson. This came about because Erick Thompson happened to drop by a school hot-dog sale Mr. and Mrs. Landsharkz were volunteering at and he overheard them talking about the shipment of geocoins that were arriving that day... He asked if they knew anything about geocaching because he wanted to do a show and interview geocachers! The interview is 30 minutes and has some stories and a great phone call from an interested third party

This month I feature a new geocaching podcast from DarrylW4 called "Cache-a-Maniacs". This podcast will debut in January 2007, and will feature interviews with numerous geocachers. Next I feature a promo video for the MOGA 2007 event from Paul Konopacki and a teaser video on a first to find attempt by Pablo Mac. Finally, I feature a unique puzzle multi cache in the Prince George area. Since this is the December episode, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Seasons Greetings wherever you are.? I look forward to many more episodes in 2007. Cache On!

I gave the camera this month off. Instead, I feature three stories contributed by viewers. The first story is a slide show from TJGuy featuring caching in the Mission and Abbotsford area of British Columbia. Next is a CITO video from the St. Louis Area Geocaching Association. It's amazing the amount of refuse collected on this day. Regular contributor, Pablo Mac, submitted a video teaser of an upcoming secret project. It's an interesting video to watch. Since I was on vacation last weekend, I'm catching up on housework. So this week, I feature a video by Pablo Mac featuring a cache called "All Of The Cool Cachers Log DNF's Here". It's fun and entertaining. Think of it as "Reality Geotv!" Have fun, and cache on!

I'm back after a quick trip to the Lower Mainland for the Cache Blitz Main Event. I shot lots of video and I have some great stuff for future episodes. Also in this edition, i start my look at digital photography with tips on purchasing a digital camera.

This month I have a pair of tutorials. First I feature how to submit a story as a slide show. Later I feature a site of the month that has a flash animated demonstration of how a GPS receiver works. There's also a viewer contributed video as well as some geocaching in the Prince George area. Throw in the usual news, mail and Frappr shoutouts and it's another great program. Episode 8 tackles the issue of Geocaching in Canada's national parks. I take a look at Park Canada's interim policy on Geocaching and review Parks Canada's Public Consultation on Geocaching. On the lighter side, there's also a feature on a famous style of cache making its debut in Prince George. Also, there's news, Frappr Shoutouts and Viewer's Mail. Episode 6 features the SkyTraining Series in the metropolitan Vancouver area. The series consist of a series of microcaches containing clues to the location of the final cache. This episode was taped in one day and features most of the stops along the way. It s 14 minutes long and is available in high resolution DivX and H.264 format as well as lower resolution Quicktime and Windows Media formats. The files are available here.
