I'm not sure what it is that makes it so great, but sbbbplaya's editing and Flo Rida are an amazing pair. The gameplay wasn't necessarily amazing , and he did reuse clips from his first Sniper Montage, but the general way it was put together made it way too fun of a watch to care about those type of things. I feel this could've been better as a 1 song montage, but even as 2 songs it was still pretty good throughout. the second song seemed to drop off a little bit, with more standstills and less general effort it looked like, but the first part really kept me entertained. As a note, there's only 1 host clip (the boltok quad on Jacinto). And since I'm sure SOMEONE will try to say it about the second song, this video came out a few days before Phurion used it in his recent-ish fiesta tage. Up until the random purple monster thing I really liked every part about this montage, and that was only the last 20 seconds or so so the good definitely outweighed the slight bad. For whatever reason, it reminded me of Goldglove's 7th, only more modernized gameplay wise. The only real complaint I had was he abused breakdowns in the editing a little too much, but they came out nice every time so it's tough to complain about that. Enjoy! Personally, I didn't like this AS much as his 3rd, but it was still very enjoyable, especially in the gameplay section. Almost every clip was extremely impressive, and there were a few clips from GB matches here and there as well (Before someone says something about private matches). The editing felt like it could have had a little bit more effort behind it, as most effects looked more thrown on than eased in and such. An absolutely incredible montage, edited by Raafe, featuring some of the sickest editing and gameplay seen in GoW . There was also some really good Unreal Editor work at points. I could go on and on, but instead I'll leave you with one line and what Raafe wrote. Wow, that was fucking Raafe. Raafe wrote; Hey Guys. Firstly, anyone who makes some comment about the title of this gears of war montage, saying something about Frag Videos only being for PC, is retarded. This is the release of Fr4gV1d. after the trailer was the most viewed gears of war 1 trailer on Gearsopedia, I'm sure this wont dissapoint you. In my opinion the gameplay is sick, featuring gameplay mostly from ranked, but also clips from clan matches (GB and scrims) as well as a few player matches. I tried to make the editing as entertainning and original as possible. Both sections start off quite slowly then build up to a fast finish. I used techniques that you wont have seen much in Gears of War montages, mainly in the work in UnrealEditor and in the way the music was done. And I apologize that you hear too much DnB and Dubstep in montages right now. But at the time I chose the first two songs, that sort of music had never really been used. I'm also sorry about the interlace on some of clips, it's pretty annoying but wasn't really my fault. I hope you enjoy! No commentary because we decided rather than delaying the plays every time we can't find a good commentator on time, we'll just post it when we say we will (Sundays). As a few notes; #5 was in a gb match/scrim, and was off host (Despite what many of you might think). You can clearly see the smoke fly out rather than twirl at the beginning of the clip. #1 was on host. Host or not, the triple headshot + 4v1 clutch is MORE than deserving of #1.
