Cycling through Laos was educational because it taught us about the inequalities in the world. In much of Southeast Asia, poverty is the norm. As you watch this video we ride past traditional houses with no source of clean drinking water or protection from malaria carrying mosquitoes. Living in these impoverished conditions did not stop the poor children from greeting us as we rode by. Several scenes of this video were filmed from the seat of my touring bike while I was riding one handed and looking through the camera. To see the complete story including current location, thousands of pictures and new audio book can be found at their website, http://www.downtheroad.org/
