All proceeds generated by ad impressions will go to vilage of Kanfinda. The Tabaski celebration is the most festive and important holidays of the year for many Muslims. On this day, celebrants slaughter a sheep to commemorate the biblical story of Abraham, who was on the verge of sacrificing his son to obey God's command when God interceded by substituting a ram in the child's place. Today, the sacrificed animal is divided into thirds and given equally to family, friends, and the poor. After several hours at a mosque, celebrants usually gather for large meals and visit with friends. Tabaski is known in other Muslim regions by different names, including Eid al-Adha (Celebration of Sacrifice) and Eid al-Kabir (The Great Celebration).

In this video the villagers are having their first practice for the dancing and singing aspect of the program complete with cutlasses and knives. Any proceeds of the video will go to the village of Kanfinda.

Team Bottle attempts to fill a bottle with sand and team Sandal throws a sandal at team Bottle members trying to take each of the team Bottle members out of the game before they fill and then empty the bottle. Everything stops for Friday afternoon prayer. Quite amazing to witness a whole town stop at once. The streets were alive before this.

Justin and I played a little ball with the kids Rebecca teaches at the Banjul/American Embassy School.

These boys were working inside Mami Anna's compound and outside, building a wall. I kicked it with them for an hour or so. Later we walked through a market together and they showed me around.
