The War On Terror Can Kiss My Ungrateful Arse
from YouTube :: Videos by seanbedlam July 17, 2007
http://www.theseanbedlam.blogspot.com/ My girlfriend and I have gotten out of the habit of sitting around reading the Saturday papers. I'm talking about newspapers pitched at intelligent readers, jampacked with extra interesting shit. Well, interesting if you're the kind of educated person whose head is all the way up his arse. We kinda sorta decided we couldn't spend Saturday being insulted. Even the smart motherfuckers are dumb these days. The War on Terror is the classic example of a situation where intellectually de-balled people share their highly impressionable non-insights on how frightened they are. Or should be. Or they don't know. Or what-the-fuck-ever. We've got a situation where smart, clever people don't know how to fucking think about anything important. They know how to have opinions, but they lose all confidence when it comes to working out where those opinions came from. Of course there are conservative writers who are very sure of what they've got to say, but their insights are so blockheaded I write them off as barely able to function as people. Too bad our government saw fit to put a few of these frightening Taliban on the board of our national broadcaster. Resulting in the airing of a hugely discredited doco that wanked on about the non-possibility of man's effect on global warming. When my smartarse self and my highly intelligent girlfriend talk about what is happening to our culture- our people- we talk about genocide. People are being raised to be fucking idiots. We're not supposed to think. We're supposed to work for the tiny number of fuckers who've hypnotized us into thinking they "own" nearly everything. It's not a life worth living. But there's a silver lining. As monumentally disappointing as as our benighted race so often is, it's good to know this fucked-up shit didn't start yesterday. Like a giant ship, our race has been on it's course for a while and it takes a while to turn that fucker. There are natural reasons- historical famine, desertification- for the psychological fucked-upness of our civilisation. We seem to be taking one step forwards, two steps back, and eventually we might get out of the shit.
