John McCain on the other hand is ready to sink wells off the coast of anywhere USA and beyond for an unlikely price break years from now. John McCain’s thinking on this issue is fatally flawed. The idea of drilling for, finding and delivering more oil will not encourage the nation to reduce consumption or make serious efforts to develop alternatives. McCain’s proposal sounds like a man saying something because something needs to be said, but what he is saying is short-term thinking with few measurable results for the future. President Bush says America is addicted to foreign oil and we, as a nation must break that addiction. We agree and then some but, we are willing to go further.
