GAY Protest held outside the entrance of the Gran Hotel Costa Rica and next to the National Theater. It appears GRAND Hotel Costa Rica may want to consider providing its Security Staff with Sensitivity Training, or perhaps a Review of the current Costa Rican LAWS on the Books regarding the discrimination of Gays. Basically, two lesbians accuse the Security Staff of the Gran Hotel Costa Rica for harassing and discriminating against them for kissing outside the hotel in the square. The kicker, apparently it wasn't even a 'making-out' type of kissing. How boring is that? Well these lesbians weren't going to take it, so they got their gay 'family' and friends to stage a protest outside the Gran Hotel. It was very nice to see a good turn-out and BEST of all, many 'younger' gay Tico's were present of show their SUPPORT. Now that's what I call a step in the right direction. Scritta e diretta da Maria Flora Giammarioli, Cum un leon in g bia una commedia che non fa ridere e una tragedia che non fa piangere. un occhio lucido che osserva i piccoli e grandi drammi di una societ contemporanea, sempre alle prese con insoddisfazioni e nevrosi, una societ libera e al contempo prigioniera dei propri limiti e delle proprie paure, alla ricerca di nuovi valori in cui credere. La storia ricalca quella narrata dalla famosa commedia di Neil Simon, Prigioniero della seconda strada, scritta per il teatro e che divenne anche un grande successo cinematografico portato sugli schermi da Jack Lemmon e Ann Bancroft per la regia di Melvin Frank nel 1975. Il leone in gabbia Mauro, l'uomo qualunque che si ritrova improvvisamente chiuso nei quattro muri del suo appartamento al sesto piano a Fano. Mauro stato licenziato, i ladri gli hanno svuotato casa e sua moglie costretta a lavorare al posto suo. La crisi dell'uomo di mezza et che non riesce a ricominciare una nuova vita purtroppo uno dei fenomeni che appartengono tristemente a questa nostra societ . Un tema tutt'altro che leggero trattato con toni pacati, senza calcare troppo la mano, con ironia al limite della comicit dalla bravissima compagine di attori formata da Daniele Cecconi, Claudio Pacifici, Paola Magi, Simone Orciari, Marina Rossi, Miriam Falcioni e Cristina Giommi. Le scene sono di Matteo Anghera, i costumi di Miriam Falcioni e le luci di Giovanni Bazzoni.

We saw the restaurant from the street and thought it would be great to grab a bite to eat and people watch. Ends up they have a pretty good special and the food wasn't too bad. Back in the day, the Simon Bolivar Zoo suffered from neglect and despair and one couldn't stroll around the grounds without getting somewhat depressed watching the wildlife that once roamed free- confined to fairly dismal quarters. Now, the zoo isn't quite so bad, although a few cages could use some upgrades and renovations. If you want to see all the Costa Rica wildlife in one place then you could spend an hour or two here, that said, we would recommend heading out to the forests and jungles and attempting to spot animals in their natural habitats. This zoo is basically for the locals but check out our video and we'll let you decide if it's worth your time to visit the Simon Bolivar Zoo in downtown San Jose Costa Rica. If you're visiting the La Fortuna/Areanl area, the HOT SPRINGS is a must Do. Baldi Hot Springs is one of the top 2 hot springs in the La Fortuna area, with the other one being the world famous Tabacon Hot Springs. Baldi Hot Springs is cheaper than Tabacon and draws a younger crowd, but has a more Disney-esque feel to it. But you won't be disappointed, no one ever is. So after a day of white-water rafting, waterfall repelling, zip-lining, nature hiking, ATV'ing, bike riding or whatever else you may get into in La Fortuna, the hot springs is a great way to relax. Finding transportation traveling around Costa Rica can be a challenge at times. For those of us that use the public buses this information is going to come in handy. There are a number of public buses zooming around Costa Rica and they make for a very cheap way to get around. However, they have been know to attract criminals catering to Ticos and tourist. The bus usually has one or two storage compartments for your bags. If your bags are larger they will fit on the buses underbelly just fine. However, It has been a problem with travelers in Costa Rica to find out that their bags were taken out from the bottom compartment somewhere along the ride. And the other alternative is a small compartment above your seats. This top compartment has also been known to attract passengers to casually walk off the bus with someones bags. If you do any research at all on bus crime you will find that this is a huge problem in Costa Rica. DO NOT fall asleep on those long bus rides and expect to wake up to your bags in the same place! DO NOT read a book or look out the window the whole time and expect your bags to be in the same place!
