Results showed that patients with a body mass index higher than 50 were twice as likely to die a year after the surgery, while those with a high comorbidity score were three times as likely to die. And finally, from Atlanta - The CDC continues to assert that the H1N1 flu disproportionately affects people under 25 years of age. 54% of hospitalizations for H1N1 and 24% of H1N1 related deaths are people under 25. Complications from the flu are more likely to occur in pregnant women and people with asthma.
