From : Cadence Revolution
Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. We warm things up with the aural travelogue of emotions and feelings that Jay Della Valle creates with his music and then slide into the bluesy Buddy Holly sound of world traveling Derek James. Closing the warm up is New York based Tara Leigh Cobble who when she isn't creating music is busily writing books and articles and running her own indie empire. French masters of military pop Derniere Derniere Volonte crank things up, as we then follow up with Inca Maya who like to channel Led Zeppelin and The Allman Brothers with funky grooves and big hooks that will make you want to shake your money maker. Mr. De' keeps things shaking with the sound of his hometown of Detroit and funks up the tempo for something that is labeled 'Ghettotech', as we then glide into another new sound. 'Nortec' is what you get when you fuse the sounds of accordion and horns of Northern Mexico (NorteÃo) with the energy of electronic beats, and Bostich and Fussible give it a more organic sound, putting extra emphasis on acoustics. Keeping this in the Nortec vibe is PanÃptica, founded by Roberto Mendoza one of the main figures in the Mexican electronic scene since the late 80s. Next up is the collaborative efforts of Ananda Project, with their eclectic and sensuous sounds that meld euphoric soulful house with contemplative R perverse, personal pop music , while The Charlatans return with their latests release that shows these kings of indie rock have a tight grip on the crown and aren't about to let go. We cool things down with the multi-media artist Antony Raijekov who has been turning his unique blend of cool electronica since 2003, before we dial things down a little bit more with the Dub sounds from Volfoniq vs Trema and then close this weeks show out with another track from Tokyo 507 who dial down their usual lazzy jazzy groove to a molasses like flow. From : Deconstructing Dinner
www.cjly.net/deconstructingdinner/072408.htm The Livestock Lost series examines the farming and business of meat, dairy and egg production. It will explore the known and unknown dangers of meat production and what people can do to source alternatives to what many would refer to as a cultural staple of the North American diet. Part II - Local Meat? Not in My Backyard? On Part II, we continue where Part I left off and begin taking a much more on-the-ground look at how one community has begun responding to these regulation changes and to the increasing demand for safer and more responsibly produced local food. As many areas throughout BC scramble to meet the new slaughterhouse regulations, an important and critical lesson is being learned of what happens when communities begin to take a more serious approach to localize their food system. Situated in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia is the narrow Slocan Valley; home to many small-scale farmers raising livestock. The region is one of many in the Province that is now without a licensed slaughterhouse. Any sale of local meat in the area is now deemed as criminal according to regulations put in place in October 2007. As a response, a co-operative abattoir (slaughterhouse) group was formed to ensure that meat can continue to legally be processed in the region. Three proposed locations later, the group continues to run up against opposition from meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Guests/Voices Kenyon McGee, Spokesperson, Slocan Valley Abattoir Co-operative (Winlaw, BC) - Kenyon is a lawyer with Kenyon McGee Law Corporation and has been involved with the abattoir co-operative since it was first formed in 2007. He has lived in the area for 30 years and has had experience raising and butchering livestock. Corky Evans, MLA Nelson-Creston / NDP Opposition Critic for Agriculture and Lands, New Democratic Party of British Columbia (Winlaw, BC) - Corky Evans was elected as the MLA for Nelson Creston in 1991, and was re-elected in 1996. He was once again elected to represent his constituents on May 17, 2005. Corky has ten years experience as an MLA, during which time he served in many cabinet portfolios, including Minister of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries. He now serves as Opposition Critic for Agriculture and Lands. Abra Brynne, MIES Help Desk, British Columbia Food Processors Association (BCFPA) (Nelson, BC) - Abra has been hired part-time to work with the BCFPA's Meat Industry Enhancement Strategy (MIES). Her role is to work with producers in the southern part of the Province and assist them in the transition to the new inspection regulations put in place in October 2007.

Surprisingly Simple “Pre-Workout Energy Drink” Video

From : Marc David's Uncensored Bodybuilding & Fitness Podcast
This video rocks! This six minute video will show you step by step how to make your own homemade supplement energy workout drink. But before you watch the video, let me tell you some of the reasons why I like it so much. For starters we ve all spent countless dollars on supplements. Who hasn t tried a fat burner or wondered during their cutting cycle if just this one particular product might work to help chemically stimulate them to lose weight? Or the pre-workout blues where you don t have the energy but you see the guy with the 1 gallon jug of some Nitrix Oxide mixture, caffeine and Yohimbe to get them amped for the workout ahead? To date, I m not a huge supplement fan myself so I don t spend all that much money but I did. When I was 18 years old, I feel for tricks of the trade. I skipped meals and didn t train like an animal in favor of the flashy ads. We ve all been fooled at some point. It s why marketing and advertising works so well and why people who can write, literally write their own paychecks. But I m getting way ahead of myself! For starters If you do like pre-workout drinks and you want to make your own, here s a really simple recipe that you can follow that will have you amped for those workouts. Maybe you ve heard the saying? “Nothing is more persuasive than a good demonstration” If you tell them, they doubt you, but if you show them, they believe you.” “Marc, do you think X brand of fat burner will work? Do you think I should spend my money on a pre-workout drink? I m tired before I hit the gym and I need something. Please help. I don t have a lot of money so don t recommend something too expensive okay” I get these all the time. And that brings me to this video you’re about to watch and why I like it so much. It s hard enough to talk you thru making your own supplements. There s confusion on what to buy, where to purchase the bulk products and how much to put in. I m going to defer that question to the guy who likes to make his own supplements. Frankly NOTHING beats a good demonstration. So, watch this demonstration, and appreciate a much education of homemade supplements. Credit and a big thank you go to the producer of this video, Jeff The Muscle Nerd Anderson, The HomeMade Supplement Chef!, Thanks Jeff. Some companies may hate you for spreading this video. I m sure some people will thank you for saving them a boatload of money. Almost everybody will appreciate the simplicity you demonstrate in this video on making your own pre-workout drink. To pick-up the PDF of this recipe and to learn how to make many other homemade supplements from Jeff Anderson head over to: www.HomeMadeSupplementSecret.com Related posts No related posts.

From : The Competitors Radio Show
Also posted on CompetitorRadio.com, interview with Al Joyner, Mike Haugens and David Sylvester.... Johan Bruyneel was the mastermind behind Lance Armstrong's seven consecutive Tour de France titles. We had the rare opportunity over at The Trek Superstore in San Diego on Saturday July 12th to film and record a one-on-one interview with Johan in front of a crowd estimated at over 300. Johan's new book is entitled WE MIGHT AS WELL WIN. Johan is a great interview.
