Common Injuries and Specific Emergencies Dr. Gordy will explain each emergency in 3 stages: Assess or recognize the situation. What action to take. What could have been done to prevent the situation. This episode: The "most" common injury is bleeding. The "most" common site is a blood feather.

This is my personal favorite episode. Dr. Gordy demonstrates toweling techniques using the demo birds and "Blue" the parrot.

You may need to towel your bird. How to choose a safe area. Choosing your towel. Catch the bird on the floor.

This episode is about call procedures. Carriers. Travelling. Temperature.

What happened? How serious is it? Can YOU handle the situation? What organ system is involved? Are they breathing normally? Does your bird have low blood sugar because of struggling? And of course bleeding.
