Skier Gets Buried While Filming His Own Interment

Skier Gets Buried While Filming His Own Interment

from SpikedHumor - Today's Videos and Pictures on October 06, 2009
Duration: 0
The film gives a first-person perspective of the skier`s 1,500ft fall and captures his increasing panic as he waits for rescuers to dig him out of the snow. Cut off from the world and with no way of knowing whether help is on the way, the man`s breathing becomes audibly quicker and more agitated over the course of his ordeal. Although the skier had breathing apparatus attached to his backpack, he apparently struggled to get a grip on the mouthpiece. But his whimpers and moans turned to excited cries as he heard rescuers` shouted reassurances through the snow, and he was pulled to safety four-and-a-half-minutes after becoming trapped. The fellow winter sports enthusiast who posted the clip on the Vimeo website described the man`s escape as "miraculous" and praised the other members of the skiing party for reaching him so quickly. SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION ( filming location video ) Tim Robbins Morgan Freeman

SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION ( filming location video ) Tim Robbins Morgan Freeman

Blog : http://onthesetshawshankredemption.blogspot.com/ The Shawshank Redemption is a 1994 American drama film written and directed by Frank Darabont, loosely based on the Stephen King novella, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption. The film stars Tim Robbins as Andrew Andy Dufresne and Morgan Freeman as Ellis Boyd Red Redding. The film portrays Andy spending nearly two decades in Shawshank State Prison, a fictional penitentiary in Maine and his friendship with Red, a fellow inmate. The Shawshank Redemption was filmed in and around the city of Mansfield, Ohio, located in north-central Ohio. The prison featured in the film is the old Ohio State Reformatory immediately north of downtown Mansfield. Most of the prison yard has now been demolished to make room for expansion of the adjacent Richland Correctional Institute, but the Reformatory's Gothic Administration Building remains standing and, due to its prominent use in films, has become a tourist attraction. Several exterior scenes were shot at the Malabar Farm State Park, in nearby Lucas, Ohio.[3] The sequence in which Andy is parked outside his home contemplating murdering his wife was filmed at the Pugh Cabin within the park. The sequences representing the village of Buxton and the field where Red finds Andy's hidden letter were filmed on private land located opposite the park entrance on Bromfield Road. The oak tree is clearly visible from the roadside. The adjacent rock wall, which was constructed specifically for the film, is located on the far side of the hill away from the roadside. The wall is still standing, although it has been somewhat eroded. Other scenes were shot in Ashland, Ohio, Butler, Ohio, Upper Sandusky, Ohio and Portland, Maine. The two scenes in Mexico were filmed on the Island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The first scene where Andy was driving a convertible on a road along the Pacific Coast with the top down is route 73 on the north side of St. Croix between Salt River (where Christopher Columbus landed in 1493) and Cane Bay. The second scene was the last scene of the movie. Red was walking on a beach toward his friend Andy while he worked on repairs to a boat on the beach. That was filmed at Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge on the southwest point of St.Croix.

Visit the blog : http://ontheset-bladerunner.blogspot.com/ This video was posted exactly 27 years after the Blade Runner release date on June 25, 1982. That date was chosen by producer Alan Ladd, Jr. because his previous highest-grossing films (Star Wars and Alien) had a similar opening date in 1977 and 1979. Blade Runner is a 1982 American science fiction film, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, and Sean Young. The film depicts a dystopian Los Angeles in November 2019 in which genetically manufactured beings called replicants visually indistinguishable from adult humans are used for dangerous or menial work on Earth's off-world colonies . Following a replicant uprising, replicants become illegal on Earth and specialist police called blade runners are trained to hunt down and retire escaped replicants on Earth. The plot focuses on a brutal and cunning group of recently-escaped replicants hiding in Los Angeles and the semi-retired blade runner, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), who reluctantly agrees to take on one more assignment. Blade Runner is based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick. Blade Runner is a literate science fiction film, thematically enfolding the philosophy of religion and moral implications of human mastery of genetic engineering in the context of classical Greek drama and hubris, and draws on Biblical images, such as Noah's flood, and literary sources, such as Frankenstein. Linguistically, the theme of mortality is subtly reiterated in the chess game between Roy and Tyrell based on the famous Immortal game of 1851, though Scott has said that was coincidental. The Blade Runner soundtrack by Vangelis is a dark melodic combination of classic composition and futuristic synthesizers which mirrors the film-noir retro-future envisioned by Ridley Scott. Some special effects in this video was done using Trapcode Particular within Adobe After Effects. E.T The Extra Terrestrial HD ( filming location video ) Steven Spielberg

Visit E.T blog : http://onthesetofet.blogspot.com/ ET house is located in Tujunga CA. The other locations are in Porter Ranch, CA. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is a 1982 American science fiction film co-produced and directed by Steven Spielberg, written by Melissa Mathison and starring Henry Thomas, Robert MacNaughton, Drew Barrymore, Dee Wallace and Peter Coyote. It tells the story of Elliott (played by Thomas), a lonely boy who befriends a friendly alien, dubbed E.T. , who is stranded on Earth. Elliott and his siblings help the alien return home while attempting to keep it hidden from their mother and the government. The concept for E.T. was based on an imaginary friend Spielberg created after his parents' divorce. In 1980, Spielberg met Mathison and developed a new story from the stalled science fiction/horror film project Night Skies. The film was shot from September to December 1981 in California on a budget of US$10.5 million. Unlike most motion pictures, the film was shot in roughly chronological order, to facilitate convincing emotional performances from the young cast. Released by Universal Studios, E.T. was a blockbuster, surpassing Star Wars to become the most financially successful film released to that point. Critics acclaimed it as a timeless story of friendship, and it ranks as the best science fiction film ever made in a Rotten Tomatoes survey. The alien became the subject of analogies for Jesus. The film was rereleased in 1985, and then again in 2002 with altered special effects and additional scenes. Spielberg believes E.T. epitomizes his work. E.T. began shooting in September 1981. The project was filmed under the cover name A Boy's Life, as Spielberg did not want anyone to discover and plagiarize the plot. The actors had to read the script behind closed doors, and everyone on set had to wear an ID card. The shoot began with two days at a high school in Culver City, and the crew spent the next 11 days moving between locations at Northridge and Tujunga. The house scenes were shot in Lonzo Street. The next 42 days were spent at Laird International Studios in Culver City, for the interiors of Elliott's home. The crew shot at a redwood forest near Crescent City for the last six days of production. Spielberg shot the film in roughly chronological order to achieve convincingly emotional performances from his cast. In the scene in which Michael first encounters the alien, the creature's appearance caused MacNaughton to jump back and knock down the shelves behind him. The chronological shoot gave the young actors an emotional experience as they bonded with E.T., making the hospital sequences more moving. Spielberg ensured the puppeteers kept away from the set to maintain the illusion of a real alien. For the first time in his career, he did not storyboard most of the film, in order to facilitate spontaneity in the performances. The film was shot so adults, except for Dee Wallace, are never seen from the waist up in the first half of the film, as a tribute to the cartoons of Tex Avery. The shoot was completed in 61 days, four days ahead of schedule. Longtime Spielberg collaborator John Williams composed the musical score for E.T. Williams described his challenge as creating a score that would generate sympathy for such an odd-looking creature. As with their previous collaborations, Spielberg liked every theme Williams composed and had it included. Spielberg loved the music for the final chase so much that he edited the sequence to suit it. In July 1982, during the film's first theatrical run, Spielberg and Mathison wrote a treatment for a sequel to be titled E.T. II: Nocturnal Fears. It would have seen Elliott and his friends kidnapped by evil aliens and follow their attempts to contact E.T. for help. Spielberg decided against pursuing the sequel, feeling it would do nothing but rob the original of its virginity
