Yet another amazing piece from Tomás Garcia (director) and Fernando Sarmiento (Compositing and Camera) at PepperMelon, this time in the form of a trailer for the Pictoplasma Animation Festival. The short is all about the good old character design. The characters (designed by Juan Molinet) are then recreated with ink into a tank of water. Fluid and unstable, like creativity. Sound design by David Kamp. NOTE: This version differs from the one you probably have seen around (including my posts on Ticklebooth and MandC) for the lack of coloring and infographics. And I obviously like it more than the "purple" one. Director Martin Dasnoy (of PepperMelon™) visualized this dreamy story where giant monsters and tiny birds collaborate to fulfill needs of each other. Acampante is Sebastian Valdivia artistical (not just musical) project, and Pour nos jeunes is his debut album, released for Casa del Puente Discos. The two songs featured in the video are entitled Acústicamente and Dos Árboles. Director Martin Dasnoy was also responsible for 3D modeling, animation and compositing, with assistant Nacho Godoy.
