Nitrosamine sind krebserregende Stoffe, die laut Ökotest in einem Mascara von Chanel (Exceptionel) und einem von Kron (Alleskönner) gefunden wurden. Diese Stoffe wurden nicht hinzugefügt, sondern sind aus den chemischen Inhaltsstoffen nach der Produktion entstanden. Da Nitrsamine aber in weitaus größerer Menge in vielen Käsesorten, in Wurst und besonders in geräucherter Wurst vorhanden sind (leckere Salami!), und diese weitaus schädigender sind, da man sie mit dem Essen aufnimmt und vor allem auch größere Mengen aufnimmt, kann man sagen, dass die in der Kosmetik enthaltenen Mengen vernachlässigbar sind. Ich persönlich würde den Exceptionel umtauschen (die Chanel Presseabteilung gab mir die Auskunft, man hätte die Rezeptur des Mascaras geändert und nun könnten keine Nitrosamine mehr entstehen - es ist eure Entscheidung), und einfach einen anderen benutzen. Es gibt im Moment keinen Grund, Chanel oder Kron Produkte allgemein zu meiden. Ich finde, wenn man Aufgrund dieser Diskussion darauf verzichtet, Chanel / Kron Produkte zu benutzen, muss man ab morgen auch beim Biohändler einkaufen, Fahrrad fahren, auf Fleisch verzichten, bla bla bla. Es ist einfach nicht ehrlich, ein Drama aus -vernachlässigbaren Mengen von Nitrosaminen- zu machen und DANN nicht die wahrhaft schädigenden Produkte zu meiden, wie die oben aufgeführten. Ich werde meine Chanel Inimitable weiterhin benutzen. (Übrigens haben sehr viele nach Mascaras von essence gefragt. I am always enchanted by anything "typically English" even though I've lived in the UK for over 30 years. This afternoon, we visited a neighbour's garden in the London suburbs, open to the public under the National Gardens Scheme. We pottered about looking at their shrubbery, roses and vegetabls while being entertained by the Swingtime Sweethearts singing WW2 favourites. We had cake and tea along with chaps in white panamas and ladies in sundresses - and a toddler waving the Union Jack.Marvellous.
