This Special edition of The Fabulous Picture Show previews the new Doha Tribeca Film Festival (DTFF runs 29th October -01 November 2009), probably the most anticipated new festival on the international film scene this year. The DTFF balances work from established directors like Steven Soderbergh, Jane Campion, Michael Moore, Spike Lee and the Coen Brothers while also showcasing some of the great new filmmakers emerging from the Middle East. This FPS also takes a behind the scenes look at how the DTFF is encouraging fledgling directors in the local Doha community.
