On October 29, 2009 Tokyo union organizer of dispatch workers or temporary workers Chie Matsumoto was interviewed at a rally to change the dispatch laws in Japan. Chie Matsumoto also worked as a journalist is helping to defend Japanese Dispatch workers who are fired and discriminated against with no union protection or senority. The present Japanese law has allowed the expansion of these temporary workers and a growing exploitation of these workers in the workplace not only at shopping chains like the 99yen shops but at major industrial and commercial companies in Japan. Chie also talks about her experience working as a journalist for the major national newspaper Asahi Shimbun where she was layed off after writing about the conditions of temporary workers in Japan.
