Kendesi Mohammed is a DC area owner of an urban marketing firm. He makes it his mission to help local talent build their reputation and commercial presence online. Besides helping up and coming artists, Kendesi helps promoters from DC s biggest clubs by creating videos from their events. He was there to support some friends of his who were performing, including spoken word artist Rhyme Cypha.

Shireen has been a geek since back in the Atari days, learning to program at age 14 and never looking back. She uses her powers for good, speaking, writing, teaching, and leading: all with the goal of helping women from underserved communities and their families reap the benefits of technology. Stowe Boyd (AKA, The Stowe Boyd ) held forth about Twitter last night at the DC Media Makers meeting. He opined that it s useless to explain Twitter to people. You just have to tell them to try Twitter for a few weeks. And if they aren t willing to do that, it s useless explaining it.
