Why Not to Smoke Experiment... Please WATCH!
from Metacafe - Today's Videos by Metacafe June 22, 2008
This is an experiment, carried out in a fume cupboard to comply with current smoking legislation, to illustrate to children the potential harm that can be caused by cigarette smoking. In the "old days" the pupils would have had the sensory association of the smell, and even the taste, of tobacco smoke, with the filth that they see accumulating; nowadays it's a merely visual experience, but still effective. If you want to try it, do not put the bung in firmly; it is there to restrict, not prevent, smoke escaping, in order that the tar has time to condense inside the tube (as it would do in your lungs!).

Tray Sliding!
from onelegduck.com June 05, 2008
My friends, Jana and Jane, went with me to slide down the hill behind Central Market on the trays from the cafe. Our professor had tipped us off that her sons love to do it, so we were itching to give it a try! It started off a bit rocky, but we felt inclined to continue. We found the perfect location, and it was all downhill from there.
