Dec. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg's Heidi Couch reports on OneSteel Ltd.'s technology that burns automotive tires to make steel. The process has cut OneSteel’s coal use by 10 percent and energy costs by 3 percent, said Leo Selleck, OneSteel’s executive general manager of technology, safety and services. OneSteel is using the mix of tires and coking coal to make two-thirds of its steel, he said. (Source: Bloomberg)
