Wie überlebt man in einer Welt, die von Zombies überrannt wird? Zwei Männer, die gegensätzlicher nicht sein könnten, scheinen die passende Antwort auf diese schwierige Frage gefunden zu haben. Columbus (JESSE EISENBERG) ist zwar ein totales Weichei, aber konnte dennoch bislang alle Angriffe erfolgreich abwehren, weil er sich immer strikt an seine „47 Überlebensregeln für Zombieland“ gehalten hat. Als einer der letzten Nicht-Zombies in seiner von Untoten besetzen Heimatstadt trifft der überängstliche Columbus auf Tallahassee (WOODY HARRELSON). Der wiederum ist ein richtig harter Hund und hat scheinbar vor so gut wie gar nichts Angst. Gemeinsam wollen die beiden ab nun mit allen Zombies kurzen Prozess machen. Doch dabei muss das ungleiche Duo zuerst dem größten Schrecken in die Augen blicken: sich selbst! Auf der Flucht begegnen die beiden Männer zwei weiteren Nicht-Zombies: Wichita (EMMA STONE) und Little Rock (ABIGAIL BRESLIN), die ebenfalls ihren ganz eigenen Weg gefunden haben, sich inmitten des grassierenden Chaos zu behaupten. Columbus ha preso l'abitudine di scappare quando si trova di fronte alle cose che lo spaventano. Tallahassee invece non ha cose di cui aver paura. Se le avesse, le prenderebbe a calci nel sedere. In un mondo invaso dagli zombie questi due sono dei sopravvissuti che si sono perfettamente evoluti. Ma adesso gli si prospetta la più terrificante delle situazioni: vedere se stessi.

Sony Pictures presents the action packed comedy Zombieland which focuses on two men who have found a way to survive in a world overrun by zombies. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer and stars Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin. Zombieland is in cinemas October 9th. Columbus (Eisenberg) is a big wuss – but when you're afraid of being eaten by zombies, fear can keep you alive. Tallahassee (Harrelson) is an AK-totin’, zombie-slayin’ badass whose single determination is to get the last Twinkie on earth. As they join forces with Wichita (Stone) and Little Rock (Breslin), who have also found unique ways to survive the zombie mayhem, they will have to determine which is worse: relying on each other or succumbing to the zombies. By William Goss, reprinted from Fantastic Fest 9/29/09 The world as we know it has come to an end, and that's not much more of an inconvenience for Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) than he was already used to. He's a Mountain Dew-chugging loser whose introverted ways have turned him into an ideal loner for the post-apocalyptic realm -- as paranoid, vigilante and neurotic as they come, beholden only to his own strict set of rules (cardio good, bathrooms bad, always shoot zombies twice, etc.). And so, while he doesn't want to become attached to the scruffy likes of Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), their chance meeting provides as good an excuse as any for Columbus to try and recover whatever's left of his family in... well, Columbus. Oh, the names? Again, no one wants to get too attached once the infection hits the fan. That's just how one tends to roll as a resident of Zombieland.
