Wednesday, July 16, 2008 Kyte Sails in a Different Direction Than Qik, Flixwagon There's been a lot of speculation in the blogosphere lately about whether Kyte, Qik,or Flixwagon will finish first in the cell phone video streaming trifecta. But according to Kyte CEO Daniel Graf, Kyte's broader focus means it's not really in the race with Qik and Flixwagon. Kyte is focused on a different market, partnering with entertainment companies including the four major record labels (Universal, Sony, EMI and Warner), MTV Europe and KROQ. It also will support any type of video content, whether online, mobile, live or recorded, while Qik and Flixwagon are primarily concerned with the live cell phone streaming of individual users. Kyte also lets users embed branded, automatically updating players on their websites and allows fans watching a channel on different sites to chat. So the thousands of fans watching 50 Cent's Kyte channel on Facebook, 50cent.com, and MySpace can form a cross-platform community. Kyte's big-name deals, broader production focus and better distribution sure make it seem like they're beating Qik and Flixwagon. FastCompany TV founder Robert Scoble thought so; he named Kyte the winner in a much-discussed guest blog at TechCrunch. Of course, Qik and Flixwagon are still alpha testing and Kyte's Mobile Producer is in private beta, so it's too early to declare the race over. Pokora, sorti en France le 24 mars 2008 ainsi que 27 pays par la suite dont en autre l'Afrique du Sud, l'Allemagne, le Canada, la Corée du Sud, l'Espagne, la Finlande, l'Italie, le Japon, le Mexique et le Portugal, la date sortie prévu est le 9 juillet 2008. L'album est disponible en trois éditions : originale, limitée et collector. L'édition limitée contient deux titres bonus et l'édition collector contient une affiche et les deux titres bonus déjà présents sur l'édition limitée. Pour son nouvel album M. Pokora a fait appel à des producteurs de renoms et influents dans l'industrie musicale américaine tels que Timbaland, qui a notamment travaillé avec Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado ou encore Madonna ; Ryan Leslie qui a produit des titres à succès pour Cassie, Beyoncé ou bien Donell Jones et enfin Jonathan JR Rotem qui a notamment produit Sean Kingston. On retrouve également un featuring avec une jeune artiste anglaise que Pokora a rencontré à Londres, Verse, qui a su se faire connaître via le réseau MySpace, ou bien encore la participation vocale du frère de Timbaland sur le premier extrait de l'album, Dangerous , le rappeur Sebastian. Selon Paris-Match, EMI, la maison de disque de M. Pokora aurait versé 800 000 $ soit 500 000 € à Timbaland pour produire l'album de Pokora.
