They perform in the tight three piece band tradition of groups like Rush, The Police, the Jam, Cream, the Greenhouse Effect, and Nirvana. The band is comprised of the Coty Brothers; Bassist Charles, Guitarist William and Drummer Dan. BOTH of the string players upfront sing with tight harmonys and completely unique voices that blend a singing style that may remind many of the Fixx from the 80's !! Live, the band keeps it tight, but it is their cd "Max Q" where they make their HUGE IMPACT around the world !! The studio songs are tight, professional, thoroughly well played and give off a unique, one in a million sound that certainly is NOT run of the mill. Some of the guitar may remind one of Alex Lifeson and the bass playing from Charles Coty is some of alternative rock's BEST !! The serious nature and vibe of Reverse Engineers is mysterious and it enhances the great songwriting which is foundated in pure structure. Each song is designed to grab your melody bone and several of them are direct hits such as the excellent "Out of body" and "Sunshine with the Shade" but it may be the classic opener "Mercury in Retrograde" what with it's Rush like feel that makes Reverse so damned good and special. Reverse is all about sounding like no one else and not blending in with the packs of other emo bands that can get tedious. On the internet, this band proves why they are Florida's greatest band and best gift to a music scene in 2009 that struggles for melody.
