Le Douro a failli me piéger. J'ai failli rester sur ce fleuve aux incroyables sautes d'humeur, dans un bateau-croisière bloqué par la pluie et la montée des eaux. Mais je me suis échappé et je me suis retrouvé à l'hôtel Boa Vista face à l'Atlantique, après l'embouche du Douro, là où le fleuve se confronte à l'océan. Face aussi à la légende coloniale portugaise avec ce fort-château, un castello qui ressemble comme un frère à ceux que j'ai vu au Kenya, à Zanzibar ou à Oman. Forteresse abandonnée pour des aventures sur toutes les mers. Et puis il y avait ce bus à touristes sorti d'une chanson des Beatles ou d'une émission pour enfants.
