Denialism is Specter's new book, subtitled How Irrational Thinking Hinders Scientific Progress, Harms The Planet, and Threatens our Lives. He looks at the reasons for public doubt, like the Vioxx scandal, but argues that we've gone beyond reasonable skepticism to a harmful cynicism.
