Actually, nobody beats Eddie´s original BEAT IT solo ! For me it is simply spectacular and unique, showing why Eddie is a special talent in the guitar world. Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson took a skeleton version of Beat It up to Eddie Van Halen's place as they wanted him to solo over the verse section. However, he played over a section that had more chord changes. So to fit his solo to where it went in the song, they had to cut the tape which took a lot of time to synchronise together. The great guitar man Steve Lukather played lead guitar on the original track. THE TABS... I'm working on a video showing how I made the entire solo, step by step. Wait and see it ! :) bye
