More and more YouTube has been providing a huge number of Patriot movement videos. Many of these show armed men- and women too- doing some basic militia drills. Basic movement and fire drills for the most part that indicate the militias are actively training for conflict. Now I've read enough histroy to know that there are times that call for an armed response, and we could be close to one of these times in history. I don't know for sure, but with all that is unfolding daily it would not be much of a surprise to me if armed conflict were to become the norm in the not too distant future. This being the case my question becomes, Then what? What are the militias fighting for? Most of us understand- even the non-militia- the people and forces that the militia movement is fighting against. Hell, your average person who attended a Town Hall meeting this last summer could tell you what most people are against in the US, but what is the goal? What do any of the patriot, Militia, or truth movements offer in place of the current paradigm? How do these groups, who are political in nature, offer us a better future? What do they offer us in the way of furthering our hopes and dreams? I don't ask these questions to be an ass, but to make clear the purpose for which we resist now and potentially fight for later. Not sure about you, but it's going to take more than a mandatory flu vaccine to get me from involved citizen to armed revolutionary. So where are we headed? Do we want another republic? Democracy? What's it going to look like militia members?
