Our mission is to build urban communities outside cities in the developing world to empower poor families with the tools they need to thrive in an urban context. We do this by combining owner finish housing with economic advancement opportunities that enable villagers to become self-reliant.Create-A-Village needs your support to build a new village for 500 poor families in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. Tanzania is located in East Africa where nearly half the population struggles to survive on less than 65 cents per day.

Its a passing of the revolutionary torch to the youth from the fore fathers. It shows how the revolutionary youth of Africa, utilizing Hip-hop have turned the Ghettos into breeding ground of explosive talent in the arts and the political sphere. Hip Hop also becomes a universal ingredient that can voice oppression and fight it where it exists as it also becomes a unique channel to dispense the beauty and complexities of Africa. On this unique excursion we journey with M1 from Dead Prez and Umi from POW from the states. We see them interact with their fellow Africans where they not only eat, but they also get to trade verses in make shift studios at various artists home, even the ghettos.
