Abuelsamid, Lieberman, Roth and Shunk. Sounds like a law firm, but it's this week's podcast crew. Car and Driver editor-in-chief Eddie Alterman bravely wades into the pool and joins us for Episode #151 of the Autoblog Podcast, as well. We spend a goodly amount of time going over what's in all five garages this week, before picking up actual topics. Once into news, we move through the Honda Accord Crosstour's pricing and impending launch, Ford's profitable quarter and union dealings, Edmunds' dust-up with the White House, and wrap with what might be cool at the crazy automotive cavalcade that is SEMA. It's an hour and twenty minutes of rollicking good times, so let us know what you think by dropping us an email at Podcast at Autoblog dot com, reviewing the show in iTunes, filling out our survey, or even leaving us a voicemail on our Google Voice line 734-288-8POD (734-288-8763). Thanks for listening, we'll see you next week! As sure as the August heat is going to make that ice cream cone melt all over your hand, the Autoblog podcast keeps notching up new episodes. Chris, Sam, and Dan blocked out some time to sit in front of the microphones and chat about a few things, and thus we present to you Episode #139 of the Autoblog Podcast. Surprisingly positive sales figures start us off, and we stay on that category for a little while, mulling the Ford Focus's top status as a C4C purchase, and Camaro beating Mustang again in sales figures. Moving on to the truly sublime, we talk about the exotics at the MeadowBrook Concours before hitting on Fiat's MultiAir technology port and then wrapping with some of your questions. Thanks for all the response so far to our survey, and iTunes users can submit reviews of our work at the Autoblog Podcast iTunes page, too. We're always reachable at Podcast at Autoblog Dot Com, too. See you next week!Continue reading Autoblog Podcast #139Autoblog Podcast #139 originally appeared on Autoblog on Wed, 05 Aug 2009 17:45:00 EST. Episode #130 of the Autoblog Podcast sees Chris, Sam, and Dan kibbitzing over the obvious news, but it's not an All-GM-Bankruptcy show. Starting with General Motors (after all, it's a huge event) we move on to Magna's deal with Opel (and GM, coincidentally). Volvo's clever implementation of a diesel hybrid in its wagon comes next before talk turns to Fiat-based Chryslers. It all wraps up at about an hour and a half after we polish off some of your questions. Thanks for listening, hit us up at Podcast at autoblog dot com with questions/comments/praise/scorn. The esteemed Mr. Lavrinc joins us for Episode #126 of the Autoblog Podcast, and Dan shows up late, but we still pack in an hour and a half of goodness. Starting with the Autoblog Garage kicks off a discussion about diesel and then electric vehicles and technology. The GM/Fiat/Chrysler dealings are once again kicked around for quite a while, with a wide ranging discussion of what Fiat platforms might be coming, and how GM's shrinkage strikes us. We move on to the death of Knight Rider, lamenting the loss of Nunez's liveblog, before we split opinions on Cash for Clunkers and finish with some letters. Chris Shunk and Dan Roth make the effort this week to get Autoblog Podcast #101 out the door while the rest of the team remains difficult to corral. The usual banter about what's been in the Autoblog Garage starts us off before we dive headlong into the pithy GM news from earlier this week. Love it? Hate it? Autoblog Podcast #72

Autoblog Podcast #72

from Autoblog on March 04, 2008
Duration: 0
Filed under: Motorsports, Podcasts, Coupes, Hirings/Firings, Chrysler, Ford, GM, Hyundai, Toyota, Earnings/Financials We tried hard to get a podcast going last week, but it just wasn't good enough. This week, the internet gods smiled on us with solid connections that cleared the way for our incisor-sharp banter. Kicking off #72, we discuss the dual surprise from Ford and GM - profit! The US operations showed losses, but overseas branches pulled in the dough, and as Alex points out "money is money." Moving on to less dull subjects, the MINI Clubman was officially unveiled, and it seems like all of the growth is in its arse. There's more legroom in the back seat, and cargo space gets a boost, as well. In typical German fashion, they took the long way around to achieve what could have been a simple platform stretch. Speaking of Germans - Wolfgang Bernhard is officially in at Chrysler. That is, if Hades 3-headed guard dog can pull it together on the funding side. It's not much of a surprise, and we hope that he can right the good ship Chrysler. Follow the jump for more or click a link below to download the show.
