Limited Appeal - Gilded sippets

Limited Appeal - Gilded sippets

from Limited Appeal on October 27, 2009
Duration: 661
We hope you're enjoying your sippets. We begin this week with Foody Goody, in which Luc explains that there's no such thing as Swiss cheese. If you think you've had some, you're deluding yourself. Yes, you are! Anyway, while your mind is still blown, consider this: we didn't start the fire. It was always burning. Did you know that in many French-speaking communities, French toast is called "pain perdu", which means, loosely, bread that was too proud to ask for directions? It's true. No matter what you call it, we hope you enjoy your Hungarian furry bread. If you want to tell us how many sippets you have, and whether they are inflamed, email us (maskedman@limitedappeal.net). Theme music courtesy of General Patton vs. The X-Ecutioners and Ipecac Recordings.

Edgbaston Reservoir, Ladywood

Edgbaston Reservoir, Ladywood

from Vimeo / Nature in HD on May 08, 2009
Duration: 0
This movie reflects my fascination with the Edgbaston Reservoir. It's got everything from wildlife to water sports to night photography to the weather to... Highlights include a flying duck, a bumble bee at work and a great crested grebe diving. Well worth a view if you've got a spare 10 minutes. Birmingham is famoius for having more canals than Venice and this reservoir was built by Thomas Telford in 1826 to feed them. It's a little bit of paradise set in inner city Ladywood. The photo below is among the best of my reservoir photos, though, being portrait format, it didn't make the cut for the movie. Cast: OnLineJones
