Millions are starving in Africa as a severe drought kills the food supply.

Mrs. Jacqueline Eng. Musyoki, Water Services Trust Fund describes the current emergency in Kenya to Harriette Bentil, Daily Graphic, Ghana. She talks about the current water situation in Kenya. It is "a government emergency". There is a very severe drought and in Nairobi, people get water once in a week. Urban poor are not getting water, and cannot afford to worry about the source of the water, yet, Water operators are "making a kill". Hydropower is not working do to the shortages and this impacts energy availability too. While the Water Services Trust Fund does not have services for emergency, they focus on long-term financing of water services. They have eight water boards in the country to set priorities and they document and share their way of working.
