The Butterfly Effect brings women together for noncompetitive ocean sport gatherings in coastal cities all over the world. The aim is to instill self-confidence and a love for the ocean in women of all skill levels. The Butterfly Effect also aims to work with the local community and offer free lessons/clinics for women and children. The Butterfly Effect began in Hawaii in 2007 by water women, Tatiana Howard and Juliana Shelef. Since then it Tatiana and/or Juliana have flown to organize the event in Brazil, New Zealand, France, Oregon, Germany, Tahiti, Dominican Republic and Australia for group surf sessions and clinics.
