However, there are no plans for the two negotiators to meet separately. (July 16)[Notes:ANCHOR VOICE] The U-S's third-highest ranking diplomat plans to head to Switzerland this weekend ... To take part in weekend meetings with Iran's chief nuclear negotiator. There are no plans for William Burns to meet directly with Iran's negotiator ... But the mere presence of a Bush administration official appears to be a break in the United States' policy. The talks on Saturday will also include diplomats from Europe. They are aimed at halting Iranian activities that could lead to the development of atomic weapons. The U-S is part of a six-nation effort to get Iran to stop enriching and reprocessing uranium, however, Washington has shunned contacts with Tehran on the matter. Until recently the only contact between Washington and Tehran has been to discuss the security situation in Iraq. An administration official tells The Associated Press -- Saturday's meeting is a one-time event, and the diplomat will be there to listen, not negotiate. An article in which he acknowledges a wrongdoing by the Communist regime in case of its political opponents, listing people of which some are known for their opposition to the system on the basis of their Bulgarian nationalism, and their cause as just. Brief montage of the facsimiles of the original articles are given, together with evidence from the official site of the MPO which indicates that this organizations considers the Slavs of FYROM as ethnic Bulgarians ( ), in present and historical sense as its giuding idea and official policy.

The Cold War's over, and we don't need a new one. That's the message from Hans Blix. The Swedish diplomat led the United Nations inspection committee in Iraq from 2000 2003 that found no weapons of mass destruction. At one point, Hans Blix suspected the United States was bugging his phone. Blix says he only wishes the US listened more closely. He believes escalating arms buildups are one of the biggest threats to the world today, and the nuclear countries need to re commit themselves to disarmament. Hans Blix spoke at the University of Washington on October 18th, 2007. The talk was sponsored by The UW Department of Scandinavian Studies, Center for Global Studies and the UW Alumni Association.
