Anecdote amusante : ce sketch est culte en Allemagne, diffusé en VO (19 fois toutes chaines confondues, pour le réveillon 2003). L'Allemand connaît mieux les dialogues que l'Anglais, pourtant ce sketch est en anglais. Il n'a même jamais été diffusé aux États-Unis, et il a été interdit pendant des années en Suède à cause des abus d'alcool. Il est également très connu en Autriche, Danemark et Norvège. Si un Français veut savoir ce que ce court-métrage est pour un Allemand, il n'a qu'à penser au film Le Père Noël est une ordure de Jean-Marie Poiré qui est un peu l'équivalent de Dinner For One en français.
