One of the most significant moments in rock history, Bob Dylan's performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival is still generating its share of controversy. By bringing an electric guitar to a folk festival, Dylan took his audience into a new world that was loud, fearless, and ready for a fight. He opened his electric set with Maggie's Farm, a song that has inspired both Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter, and which continues to serve as an anthem for the disenfranchised and dispossessed. In 1987, George Harrison took to the stage at Wembley Arena, backed by Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr & George Harrison. The event was organized by HRH Prince Charles as a benefit for his charity, The Prince's Trust. The performance of While My Guitar Gently Weeps was the highlight of the evening, and the concert was recognized for a Grammy Award (Best Live Performance Video). This was one of only a handful of live performances that featured three musicians from the recording sessions of the Beatles' White Album: Harrison, Clapton, and Ringo Starr. Now available for purchase and download on iTunes, this video has been released in association with The Prince's Trust, and proceeds from the video sales will support the charity.
