Yahoo announced a deal to sell display ads .on Walmart.com(?) Chia-Lin thinks it s the digital equivalent of shelving fees. According to the data, YouTube is still kicking Hulu s ass, regardless of what Mark Cuban thinks. Regardless, we want to know how Youtube and Hulu are going to monetize their respective businesses. Would Hulu consider a paid subscription model? YouTube is going to start allowing long-form content (videos above 30 minutes). Scoble thinks they want to insert advertising in the longer stuff. We agree. Gary Vaynerchuk s Wine Library TV moves over to Revision3. Verizon will be pushing its FiOS service to 50 mbps downstream, 20 mbps upstream. For $139.95 a month! Gene Simmons (yes, that Gene Simmons) thinks that Radiohead, the internets, p2p - and the FANS - are killing the recording industry. EMI is not only suing MP3Tunes.com, but its founder, Michael Robertson, personally. Microsoft has decided to support MSN Music customers (and the related DRM) until - at least - the end of 2011. [See post to watch Flash video] Download to Video-Enabled iPods If you would like to learn how to embed multimedia presentation in your press releases, this program is for you. The multimedia press release is not merely an idea whose time has come; it is one that is long overdue! Although I receive most press releases via email, they are still composed as though the delivery mechanism is the U.S. Postal Service. Moreover, they are overflowing with bad writing and technology companies are the worst offenders. Nearly all of their characteristically jargon-filled releases fail miserably to explain why anyone, other than those who wrote them, should have any interest. (more )
