Three Hour Lunch from Tom Guilmette on Vimeo. I bought six new lenses and put two of them to the test in this short film. I shot this during my extended lunch break after I was finished setting up network TV for the Bruins game at the TD Bank North Garden in Boston. I then took my Sony Z1U with the Letus35 Extreme adapter outside and shot in and around Quincy Market. This film was what I saw, where I went and the people I bumped into. I used a Sigma 17mm f4.5 super wide angle prime and a sweet Nikon 85mm f2 prime. These manual lenses were beat up and used, but they still have a lot of life left in them. It was difficult shooting indoors with the 17mm because of light loss. Most of the wide indoor shots had 9dB gain added while recording. The video was edited with Final Cut Pro and I used Magic Bullet Looks for vignette and color grading. I also used a filter effect to add more color saturation. Music selection: Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts I - Track 1 Cast: Tom Guilmette
