Date: Friday, 6 June 2008, 4:22 p.m. I have been contemplating writing something on the "big picture" of current events and of their timing. I keep having a nagging feeling that goes back to when Chertoff made his eerie, gut prediction for a terrorist attack this summer. Well, all you have to do is just look around at everything that is happening. Maybe he lied when he was speaking of Al-Qaeda coming here for an attack. I think they are already doing it to us, slow and easy. Now just why would the scientists and governments collect seeds from every variation of every plant, and store them in what they call a "Doomsday Vault"? In 2 locations? Seems to me they might be planning a cleansing. All of the emerging diseases in humans, animals and plants - the collapse of the world economies - wild, chaotic weather patterns and events - horrendous earthquakes - tornadoes - tsunamis - drugs in our water along with heavy metals and bacteria - increase in violent school shootings - people stating they are hearing voices in their heads, then commit horrible murders - a general increase in mental disorders - a drugged society - And it goes on and on. I think Chertoff was telling the truth, at least part of it. And the majority of all of this has been done within the last year. I think we just might be in the midst of that attack Chertoff was speaking of. minutes ago WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court says a man with a long criminal record deserves a lengthy prison term, under a federal law aimed at keeping repeat offenders behind bars longer. ADVERTISEMENT Monday's 6-3 decision, written by Justice Samuel Alito, deals with provisions of the Armed Career Criminal Act. The law makes defendants eligible for longer prison terms if they have three prior criminal convictions for crimes that are either violent felonies or serious drug offenses. A jury convicted Gino Gonzaga Rodriquez of possessing a gun as a convicted felon. Prosecutors said his five prior convictions — two for burglary in California and three for drug trafficking in Washington — should have led to a 15-year prison sentence. But a federal judge imposed a sentence of 92 months and the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco agreed. At issue was what makes a crime a serious drug offense. Judges sometimes look at the length of the sentence prescribed by state law. In this case, the question was whether the additional time that state law imposed because someone is a repeat offender can be used to trigger the still harsher penalties under the federal sentencing law. The Supreme Court concluded it can. Justice David Souter, joined by Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and John Paul Stevens, dissented. Souter said the court's ruling would make life more complicated for trial courts trying to calculate prison sentences. The case is U.S. v. Rodriquez, 06-1646. Why irradiate the charged particles of the ionosphere (which when energized by natural processes make up the lovely and famous phenomenon known as the Northern Lights)? According to the U.S. Navy and Air Force, co-sponsors of the project, "to observe the complex natural variations of Alaska's ionosphere." The key document in the bunch is U.S. Patent number 4,686,605, considered by HAARP critics to be the "smoking raygun," so to speak. Held by ARCO Power Technologies, Inc. (APTI), the ARCO subsidiary contracted to build HAARP, this patent describes an ionospheric heater very similar to the HAARP heater invented by Bernard J. Eastlund, a Texas physicist. In the patent--subsequently published on the Internet by foes of HAARP--Eastlund describes a fantastic offensive and defensive weapon that would do any megalomaniacal James Bond super villain proud. .
