This was an installation I did for an experiential stations of the cross that was done at St. Elizabeth's in Norwood, Ohio for Lent 2006. You could enter this space, which blocked out all outside light (the only light in the tomb was the video projector). It was all white inside the tomb, except for the ceiling which was black. You could sit in chairs or on the floor. The video itself is a three part cycle. The first (red) represents violence, the second (black) represents death, and the final (yellow) represents new life. The body in this context was the body of Jesus but I hoped that each viewer would mentally place themselves in the position of the body. I received very positive feedback about the work. The space itself became a space where people felt safe and comfortable, which was my ultimate goal, that is, to take the most base fear of each human being - the fear of dying - and transform the experience. Why do we fear the inevitable? It is the one guarantee in life - you and I are going to die. Por eso quieren matarlo . Defender la dignidad humana. Curar enfermos. Traernois la paz. Enfrentarse con los que manipulan la verdad desde el poder. El video muestra un momento de la continuacion del Via Crucis dentro del Israel. Lugar donde todos juntos nos encontramos para celebrar distintos actos en esta tierra de todos que es Pueblo de Dios.

La imagenes muestran una peque a parte del recorrido del Via Crucis que acabo arriba en lo alto, en la casa de Israel. La cruz de madera es llevada entre todos mientras se cantan cantos. Todos tenemos razones para llevar la cruz. En una estacion (no mostrada por el video ) se personalizo por quien se cargaba la cruz. En resumen: Sencillez y hondura en lo vivido dentro del amplio espacio de esta tierra de todos que es Pueblo de Dios. El video no hace justicia a tanto vivido.
