Crucifixion Videos

Jerusalem is a holy city to three religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), whilst being the modern capital of the State of Israel and the country`s largest city. The City of Gold, as it has come to be known in Hebrew, is a fascinatingly unique place where the first century rubs shoulders with the twenty-first century, each jostling for legitimacy and space, and where picturesque old neighborhoods nestle against glistening office towers and high-rise apartments. It is one of those places which has to be seen to be believed. In addition to many secular Israelis and foreigners, Jerusalem is considered home by large numbers of adherents to three of the four Middle Eastern monotheistic faiths: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Adherents of these faiths have tended historically to congregate in various neighborhoods of the city, with considerable overlap.

After looking at some of the pitfalls of the notion that the Bible is inerrant and the literalist approach to the Bible, I ask inerrantists and literalists a couple of questions. In this third of a series, Pastor Mike points out why "The Hallucination Theory," used to explain away the resurrection of Christ, is wrong. The Hallucination Theory suggests that Jesus didn t really rise from the dead. His followers were only seeing hallucinations of Him.

In this second of a series, Pastor Mike points out why "The Theft Theory," used to explain away the resurrection of Christ, is wrong. The Theft Theory (versus The Swoon Theory) doesn t deal with whether or not Jesus died. That s a given. The Theft Theory simply states Jesus body was stolen. Someone took it and that's why the grave was empty on the third day.

In this first of a series, Pastor Mike points out why "The Swoon Theory," used to explain away the resurrection of Christ, is wrong. The Swoon Theory suggests that Jesus was revived in the tomb and recovered from His wounds. He didn t actually rise from the dead since He didn t really die in the first place. He only appeared to die.

This time of year is special for Christians and Jews around the world. For Jews it commemorates the Passover and Exodus from Egypt. And, for Christians, this is the time leading up to Christ's crucifixion.
