Knit One, Save One - Save the Children
from YouTube :: Videos by savethechildrenusa October 03, 2008
The Knit One, Save One is part of the campaign by Save the Children to help save the lives of children under 5. Did you know that 60% of newborn deaths in developing countries can be prevented? It just takes a simple package of basic health measures provided to mothers and babies. Keeping a newborn warm is one of the simple steps for saving lives. Save the Children is asking knitters and crocheters by December 31, 2008 to knit or crochet one baby cap, and to write a personal note to the President-elect asking him to lead the way to save millions of babies globally. Polymer Clay Podcast # 74 - Halloween jewelry with skulls and magic transfer paper
from Polymer Clay podcast and TV October 02, 2008
We decided to do something a little different this year for Halloween. There are many tutorials online about how to make things like pumpkin canes and ghost beads..so we thought some skull imagery would be fun. We used Magic Transfer paper and Ken's mortality images from Craftedonline.com, and created some fun earrings and necklaces! Check out our different styles next week on polymer clay TV, the free demo, and also at www.polymerclayclassroom.com, where you can download complete projects from start to finish. We also have some news about the Jaquard new G-clay series, which has been stopped in favor of just adding the planned g-clay to the Cernit line (we think.) Stay tuned, we will be getting an update from Jaquard representatives soon. And, don't forget to link to us and let us know- you'll be entered to win prizes from our Holiday Gift Guide. And, please come to www.polymerclayproductions.com to vote for us in the Start-up Nation competition- you can actually vote once a day, through October. Your votes help us to rank in the contest, thank you so much for helping out!
