Here's the story: The Sheriff of Nottingham has managed to steal Lady Marian from Robin. Things are going pretty smoothly, until alas, they have their first lover's quarrel. Robin is waiting in the wings, hoping Marian will change her mind. Will true love prevail? Will Lady Marian stay with the sexy Sheriff of Nottingham, or will she go back to Robin? Stay tuned. Included here are clips from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves - including deleted scenes, and brief clips from White Sands, and the January Man were also incorporated here to augment the story. Dances with Wolves is a very beautiful movie based on a novel by Michael Blake. It is directed by Kevin Costner who also played the leading role of John Dunbar. Lieutenant John Dubar accidentally becomes a hero when he leads his troops to a victory during the American Civil War. After that, he requests to be placed on a post on the western frontier in Dakota territory. When he comes there the place appears to be abandoned. While waiting for other soldiers to come, he becomes friends with a wolf who he named "Two Socks". After a while Indians show up, but they do not kill him. Dunbar quickly makes friends with the tribe, and discovers a white woman " Stands with a fist" (Mary McDonnell) who was raised by the Indians. He gradually earns the respect of these native people, and falls in love with "Stands with a fist". Because there are still no other soldiers, he leaves his post and starts to live with the Indians. Not soon after, the frontier becomes the frontier no more, and the army advances on the plains. When they find out he is a "traitor", they go after him and the tribe. Bull Durham is a 1988 American movie about love and baseball. It is based upon the minor league experiences of writer/director Ron Shelton and depicts the players and fans of the Durham Bulls, a minor league baseball team in Durham, North Carolina. Kevin Costner stars as "Crash" Davis, a veteran catcher brought in to teach rookie pitcher Ebby Calvin "Nuke" LaLoosh (Tim Robbins) about the game in preparation for reaching the Major Leagues while baseball groupie Annie Savoy (Susan Sarandon) romances "Nuke" but finds herself increasingly attracted to "Crash." Also featured are Robert Wuhl and Max Patkin, the "Clown Prince of Baseball". Baseball movies were not considered a viable commercial prospect at the time and every studio passed except for Orion Pictures who gave Shelton a USD $9 million budget with many cast members accepting lower than usual salaries because of the material, an eight-week shooting schedule, and creative freedom. He cast Kevin Costner because of the actor's natural athletic ability. During filming, Costner was able to hit two home runs while the cameras were rolling. Bull Durham was a commercial success, grossing over $50 million in North America, well above its estimated budget, and a critical success as well. Sports Illustrated ranked it the #1 Greatest Sports Movie of all time. In addition, the film is ranked number 55 on Bravo's "100 Funniest Movies." It is also ranked #97 on the American Film Institute's "100 Years...100 Laughs" list, and #1 on Rotten Tomatoes' list of the 53 best reviewed sports movies of all time.
