About a year ago, we made this video ( vimeo.com/flagpolesitta ) just after moving into our new office. This fun after-work video project unexpectedly went on to get 1.5 million views, was written about in the Washington Post ( tinyurl.com/4m325s ), the BBC ( tinyurl.com/3b7yy8 ), and elsewhere, and inspired many other offices to make their own lip dubs (which you can see at officelipdub.com ). Amanda and I happened to take footage of Jakob as he blocked out scenes and prepared everyone for the shoot, which we did in one long shot on the first take. For those who enjoyed the finished video, hopefully this footage will show some insight into Jakob’s creative process, as well as how much fun it was to make this. Come January 2008 and one last trip away to get the final pieces of the video jigsaw together we should see the release of one of the me anticipated videos of all time. Its kind of mad that we can say this as the whole hype about Joe's videos has only ever come from the people who watch it. No adverts in mags, no huge budgets and trailers on other big videos just purely the fact that the word spread like wild fire when Voices dropped on us in August 2005 because it was genuinely a well made video with thought put into the filming and editing with a sweet munch of riders from a tight scene in Sheffield.
