Long dark nights have returned, over 11 hours this weekend. Some passes of the ISS visible in the evening hours this week. Jupiter is setting much earlier but you can still catch some GRS and moon IO and Europa transits. Mars is now brighter and rising earlier. A couple comets are within range of most backyard scopes this week. Also, be sure to check out one of the best edge on spiral galaxies, NGC 253.
