Roger Waters -- "Home" from YouTube :: Tag // voice on May 15, 2008 0 views
Proof that Roger's work from the 80's is timeless -- as relevant, incisive, and powerful today as when "Radio K.A.O.S" was first released, under a completely different world order, over two decades ago. The pace of this video is blistering. In case you miss a line here or there, these are the complete lyrics to Mr. Waters' tour-de-force about social revolution... Could be Jerusalem, or it could be Cairo Could be Berlin, or it could be Prague Could be Moscow, could be New York Could be Llanelli, and it could be Warrington Could be Warsaw, and it could be Moose Jaw Could be Rome Everybody got somewhere they call home When they overrun the defences A minor invasion put down to expenses Will you go down to the airport lounge Will you accept your second class status A nation of waitresses and waiters Will you mix their martinis Will you stand still for it Or will you take to the hills It could be clay and it could be sand Could be desert Could be a tract of arable land Could be a house, could be a corner shop Could be a cabin by a bend in the river Could be something your old man handed down Could be something you built on your own Everybody got something he calls home When the cowboys and Arabs draw down On each other at noon In the cool dusty air of the city boardroom Will you stand by a passive spectator Of the market dictators Will you discreetly withdraw With your ear pressed to the boardroom door Will you hear when the lion within you roars Will you take to the hills Will you stand, will you stand for it Will you hear, ohhhh! ohhh! when the lion within you roars Could be your father and it could be your mother Could be your sister, could be your brother Could be a foreigner, could be a Turk Could be someone out looking for work. RetroVision Media Examines Obama's Prospects For Attracting Reagan Democrats from RetroVision Media on May 15, 2008 3 views
While Barack Obama has this nomination locked up numerically; he does have significant work to do to ensure that he and the Democratic Party make a sweep of things in November. The whole party is betting on Barack Obama to bring the country together once and for all. Local, state and national contest are going to rest on his ability to convince his weakest support that he is a Democrat that understands the concerns of all Americans, be they Black, White, liberal, conservative, city dweller, suburban or rural. He is going to have to reach out to shake the hands of those that may not be willing to extend theirs. He will have to work harder with those unfamiliar with his style and his method of thinking. He will have to prove to those whom are distrusting of people that don’t share all their views and cultural experiences that he will fight for all Americans.

RetroVision Media Covers Hillary Clinton Using Coal Miner Daughters to Make A Statement Today from RetroVision Media on May 13, 2008 15 views
Barack Obama is expected to take a beating in the West Virginia Democratic primary contest today, so we thought we would examine why. With Hillary Clinton clearly on the ropes and fighting for every vote she can muster to make a last ditch argument to override the peoples choice, she is also trying to making a statement. Her cleverly targeted message to her self described core support is to show via the West Virginia contest that a significant demographic of the Democratic Party will not back Barack Obama under any circumstance. While know one can truly know the motives that drive another, one can sometimes accurately speculate about intentions based upon past performance. As the curtain began come down on the Clinton show last week, we heard how her hard working white supporters were or would abandon the Democrats in the general election, alluding to race as a reason. While most in the mainstream media caught the drift loud and clear, the signals were already sent and received just

RetroVision Media Reviews Obama's VP Options from RetroVision Media on May 12, 2008 18 views
Since we have already acknowledged that Sen. Obama is the Democratic nominee, we at RetroVision Media are going to cut to the chase with our top four reasons why Hillary Clinton should Not be considered for the Vice President’s spot on the ticket. A. Bill Clinton! Do you really want Bill Clinton lurking about trying to steal the spotlight as he bills himself as the indispensable advisor? All the while undermining Sen. Obama’s image as the real president in charge. We have seen a similar scenario with Vice President Chaney seemingly playing puppeteer. B. Hillary Clinton would dilute his message of change. What is the point of winning a hard fought contest against an old guard styled politician that played the race, the gender and the socioeconomic cards so disgracefully and liberally. C. Obama would undermine his brand. As a man, not a politician, running for the presidency to change the way things are done in Washington, to make a deal with the Clintons to simply woo Hillary’s sup

Hannity Slams Bush Movie as Left Wing Hit Job from YouTube :: Recently Added Videos on May 10, 2008 9 views
http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20198476,00.html Shooting begins in less than two weeks on W (or dub-ya, as it's spelled out in the initial sketches for the poster), but not everything is exactly where it should be, and not only here in the house where the First Family's residence will be re-created. The 32,000-square-foot soundstage the production is renting across town stands empty, waiting for the Oval Office and Cabinet Room sets to get trucked in from Los Angeles. The screenplay still needs work too. It's gone through two rewrites since an earlier draft leaked to the press last month (some skeptics took it as an April Fools' joke), but Stone would still like one more pass at it (''It's evolving,'' he says). And while most of the cast has been assembled and outfitted with prosthetic noses and hairpieces — Josh Brolin will play President George W. Bush and Elizabeth Banks will star as Laura — there is one major character still in search of an actor: a heavy named Dick Cheney. Stone is famous for courting controversy with dramas like JFK (1991) and Nixon (1995). But with W, the 61-year-old filmmaker isn't merely courting it — he's grabbing controversy by the lapels and giving it a big wet smacker. For the first time, he's turning his cameras not just on a living president but on one who'll still be knocking around the White House when the movie premieres late this year. As if that weren't provocative enough, Stone could end up releasing the film as early as October, at the height of a presidential campaign in which one of the major issues will undoubtedly be the legacy of the guy on the screen. The movie has become a lightning rod before Stone has shot a single frame. If that bootlegged script is any indication, the film will feature such flag-waving moments as the Commander-in-Chief nearly choking to death on a pretzel while watching football on TV and a flashback of him singing the ''Whiffenpoof'' song as a frat pledge at Yale, not to mention scenes in which he refers to his advisers by dorky nicknames — ''Guru'' for Condoleezza Rice, ''Turdblossom'' for Karl Rove, ''Balloon Foot'' for Colin Powell — while discussing plans for the invasion of Iraq with the coolness of a late-night poker game.
